Low Temperature dependence
Silicone lubricants (oils and greases) used in a variety of fields, have several advantages: high slipping power, heat resistance, high thermal conductivity, low sensitivity to temperature change,wide thermal range of use, long service life and excellent compatibility with plastics and elastomers. Silicone fluids are available with viscosities ranging from 50 cSt up to 1 million cSt. Greases with various viscosities of the base fluid can be thickened with silicate, lithium, or PTFE to vary their resistance to loads, lubricating and sliding properties within a temperature range of-70°C to +200°C.
