Damping greases
The easy control of movement
“Damping” greases are the simplest and most economical solution for controlling motion and noise in applications such as selectors, buttons, knobs, hinges, etc. In contrast to conventional greases, they are formulated with high molecular weight synthetic oils and are available in a very wide range of viscosities to achieve velvety, “backlash-free,” precise, and controlled movements. Depending on individual needs, this family of greases is able to offer a wide variety of resistant torques, thus enabling their use in different application areas. Because the moving parts are separated by a tenacious and adhesive veil of grease, “backlash” is drastically reduced, and the development of noise and wear is greatly controlled.Â
