Conductive greases
The right lubricants improve conduction
Thermally and/or electrically conductive pastes are formulated with a large percentage of powders of various kinds that transmit power, carried in synthetic/silicone oils. Key characteristics of these pastes or greases are low volatility and excellent thermostability at high temperatures. Another fundamental property of conductive paste is the perfect spreadability that allows effective coverage of the mated surfaces, resulting in reduced thermal or electrical resistance. In most cases, thermal/electrical conductive pastes find use in static applications; however, special conductive greases are used in dynamic applications such as ball bearings subject to stray currents.Â
