Springs are mechanical components that deform reversibly. In fact, by compressing, they compensate for vibrations, return components to their proper position and minimize shock. Often they are subject to high loads and high coefficients of friction. However, the use of the proper lubricant can reduce seizure between the springs and their seats, reduce friction wear, and preserve them from corrosion.
